It is with great regret that the Ludlow Constituency Conservative Association has learned of the tragic loss of Les Winwood, Conservative Councillor for Bridgnorth West & Tasley, who died this week.
Les was involved in local politics in Bridgnorth for over 40 years, initially as town councillor where he served as Mayor, and then as Bridgnorth District Cllr until 2009 when he was elected as a Shropshire Councillor. Throughout that time he was a selfless servant of his community and much loved and admired by all who knew him.
He was kind, considerate and went out of his way to represent his constituents. He will be sorely missed by us all and our thoughts and prayers go to his sister and family.
