South Shropshire MP Philip Dunne has congratulated two local businesses for receiving Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
Cleobury Mortimer based Kudos Blends, and Orchard Valley Foods from Burford, have both been recognised for achieving substantial growth in international trade. Kudos Blends manufactures specialist baking products, and Orchard Valley Foods produce baking products and decorations
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, now in their 50th year, are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, given only to companies or individuals who are outstanding in their field.
Mr Dunne said: “I am absolutely delighted that two Ludlow Constituency businesses have been recognised through the highly prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
I have visited both Kudos Blends and Orchard Valley Foods, and was impressed by their determination to secure export driven growth. So I am very pleased they have received this recognition, and congratulate them both on this remarkable achievement.
It is particularly welcome to see two growing rural businesses recognised for international growth. This really shows that businesses in the Ludlow Constituency can thrive and create local jobs by developing new overseas markets for their goods, and I hope these awards will encourage other businesses considering exporting to get in touch with UKTI and make use of their advice and support.”
